Frequently asked questions
Can I open a Dutch BV without living in the Netherlands?
Yes. There is no residency requirement to own or direct a Dutch BV. Since 2024 the notarial deed can be signed fully online, and we can incorporate on your behalf via a power of attorney — you do not need to travel. See Dutch BV for non-residents.
What does it cost to set up a BV?
Our formation fee is a fixed amount you know upfront. Official third-party costs — the notary deed and the one-off KVK registration (€82.25) — are billed at cost, not marked up. See pricing.
Do you handle bookkeeping and tax in English?
Yes. We keep your books, file your BTW (VAT) returns, prepare annual accounts and corporate income tax (Vpb), and run payroll — all in English, for a fixed monthly fee. See bookkeeping.
What is the 30% ruling?
The expatregeling lets qualifying skilled migrants receive up to 30% of their salary as a tax-free reimbursement (2025 and 2026), dropping to a flat 27% from 1 January 2027. We explain the conditions on our 30% ruling page.
Are you an accountancy firm?
We are an independent company-formation and bookkeeping office. We are not a government body (KVK/Belastingdienst) and we do not present ourselves as a registered "accountant"; bookkeeping and tax work is a fully open-market service in the Netherlands.
