About Helderboek

We help entrepreneurs start and run a company in the Netherlands — fully online, at a fixed price, without surprises.

Helderboek is an independent administration and company-formation office. That means two things. We incorporate companies — a BV or a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) — and we handle bookkeeping and tax returns. We are not a government body and not an "accountancy" firm; for the notarial deed of a BV, and for any audit or assurance work, we work with established civil-law notary and qualified partners.

What we do

• Formation. We prepare your BV or sole proprietorship, coordinate the notary (for a BV — fully digital via power of attorney since 2024) and arrange your registration with the KVK and your VAT (BTW) identification number with the Belastingdienst.
• Bookkeeping. Invoices, VAT returns, annual figures and payroll — on a subscription, with a dedicated bookkeeper as your point of contact.
• Tax returns & advice. We prepare your returns and advise on the right legal form and tax choices — general, factual and applied to your situation.

How we work

Everything is online. You never have to visit an office; you sign digitally and keep one point of contact. We work with entrepreneurs across the Netherlands and guide international founders entirely in English. Where an activity is legally reserved — the notarial deed, or assurance work — we bring in a qualified partner and say so honestly.

Our transparency promise

• Fixed prices, known up front. Official costs — such as the KVK registration and the notary — are charged at cost. No hidden fees afterwards.
• Honest about what we are. We call ourselves a bookkeeper, administration office and tax adviser — never an "accountant". That title is reserved by law and we do not hold it.
• No lock-in. Your data and records are yours. You can leave at any time.
