1. Who we are (the controller)

The controller of your personal data is Helderboek, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Full identification details are set out in our proposal and service agreement and are available on request. You can reach us any time at info@helderboek.com.

2. Data we process

  • contact details you submit via our forms (name, email, phone where given, your message and the answers to the questions in the start form);
  • visit-source data (e.g. campaign/UTM parameters and the page you entered on), where present;
  • technical and analytics data — only with your consent (see our cookie policy).

3. Purpose and legal basis

  • to respond to your enquiry and provide the services you request — performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR);
  • to improve our services and keep the site secure — our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR);
  • for traffic analytics — on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act).

4. Recipients and processors

We use providers that process data on our behalf as processors: the service that processes and forwards our forms (Web3Forms), our hosting provider, our email service and — only with your consent — Google Analytics. For audience statistics we may also use a cookieless analytics method that does not identify you. We conclude data processing agreements with these processors. We do not sell your data.

5. International transfers

Some providers (e.g. Google, Web3Forms) may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, the transfer relies on appropriate safeguards (the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision).

6. Data retention

We keep data only as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected (typically the duration of the business relationship plus applicable statutory retention periods, such as the tax-retention obligation), or as required by law.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to the processing of your data, and to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. We do not carry out automated decision-making with legal effects on you. To exercise your rights, email info@helderboek.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, AP, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
