Dutch BV formation — cost comparison

How our indicative from €595 service fee compares with publicly advertised prices from well-known Dutch formation providers. We split our fee from the notary and KVK costs so the real total stays visible.

About the competitor figures. Every price for another provider below is publicly advertised at the time of writing (2026-07-28) — verify current pricing on that provider's own website. Prices and package contents change often; the figures are for orientation and are not offers on their behalf.
Provider Advertised price Model Typically includes / to check
Helderboek (us) from €595 indicative, excl. BTW Service fee, excl. BTW Intake, articles, POA/UBO, notary coordination & KVK registration, BTW-number and bank guidance. Notary deed and the one-off KVK fee (€82.25) are passed through at cost, shown separately.
Firm24 ~€599 publicly advertised 2026-07-28 — verify Package, Dutch-language Online BV incorporation package aimed at the Dutch market. Notary/state costs and add-ons depend on the package; English support is limited.
Ligo ~€999 publicly advertised 2026-07-28 — verify Package, Dutch-language BV formation bundled with legal-document tooling. Third-party notary/KVK costs and ongoing services are separate.
Intercompany Solutions ~€2,299 (BV) publicly advertised 2026-07-28 — verify All-in, non-resident focus Full-service remote BV formation for non-residents, including coordination. Positioned as premium; bookkeeping and per-service pricing quoted separately.
House of Companies ~€995–€1,795 / yr publicly advertised 2026-07-28 — verify Annual membership (eBranch) Membership covering a branch/registration route plus tooling. A recurring yearly model rather than a one-off fee; a branch is not the same as a BV.

Competitor prices are publicly advertised figures observed on 2026-07-28 and may be out of date — always verify on the provider's own site. Our own figure is an indicative service fee (excl. 21% BTW); notary and the one-off KVK fee (€82.25) are passed through at cost. Comparisons are like-for-like where possible, but a branch or an annual membership is not the same product as a one-off BV incorporation. Not legal or tax advice.

Reading a Dutch formation price fairly

Headline prices for setting up a Dutch company are hard to compare because providers bundle different things. Some advertise a low Dutch-language package (for example Firm24 around €599 or Ligo around €999, both publicly advertised on 2026-07-28 — verify current pricing) that may or may not include the notary and state costs. Others quote a higher all-in figure aimed at non-residents (Intercompany Solutions around €2,299 for a BV, publicly advertised on 2026-07-28 — verify current pricing). And some sell an annual membership rather than a one-off fee (House of Companies around €995–€1,795 per year, publicly advertised on 2026-07-28 — verify current pricing), often for a branch route rather than a BV. None of that is a criticism — it just means you have to check what is, and isn't, in the number.

Our approach is to keep the parts visible. The from €595 figure is our service fee only; the notary deed (typically €400–€1,500) and the one-off KVK registration (€82.25) are passed through at cost as separate lines, with no mark-up. When you compare, check three things: is it a one-off or a yearly fee, does it include the notary and KVK, and is it actually a BV or a branch. Our DAFT cost calculator and pricing page show the full build-up for your case.

Formation cost comparison — FAQ

How current are these competitor prices?

Each competitor figure is a price that provider publicly advertised at the time of writing (2026-07-28). Prices, packages and what they include change frequently, so treat every figure as a starting point and verify current pricing on the provider's own website before you rely on it.

Why is your price lower than some of the packages?

Our €595 is an indicative service fee only. We deliberately pass the notary deed and the one-off KVK registration (€82.25) through at cost, shown as separate lines, instead of folding them into one bundled headline — so the real total is visible rather than hidden inside a package.

Is a branch the same as a BV?

No. Some providers advertise a branch registration or an annual membership rather than a one-off BV incorporation. A branch of a foreign company is a different legal set-up from a Dutch BV, with different liability and tax consequences. Compare like for like, and check whether a quoted price is a one-off or a recurring yearly fee.

What is the real all-in cost of a BV?

For a BV, budget our indicative service fee (from €595, excl. BTW) plus the notary deed (typically €400–€1,500) and the one-off KVK registration (€82.25). Our DAFT and formation calculators break this down; your exact quote follows a short intake.
